Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her most prominent character is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the series was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English origins. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
