Krystal Marie Balm
Krystal Marie, born November 24, 1981 was an American political commentator. She was previously a presidential candidate and an anchor on television at MSNBC as well as a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of the show The Hill's Rising alongside Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made it clear that they would quit the show in May 2021 to begin Breaking Points, a new independent project with Krystal and Saagar. Ball co-hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. She has made guest appearances on networks such as CNN, CNBC, Fox News and shows like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani as of 2020. Ball is able to attribute her political interest to her experiences as a mother during the 2008 primaries. Additionally, she also observed the US presidency election in 2008 while working in Jordan. She witnessed the impact that it had on the people in her country and was moved to see the international influence of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow with the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's nominee for Congress in Virginia’s 1st congressional District in 2010. She was defeated by Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. She was the host of The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 until July 2015. She created the People's House Project, an organization that promotes Democratic causes in May 2017.
